... could be, what Jerusalem is. The Tyger however deals with a world of reason, a symbol of objective science in the face of the faith of the Lamb. The atmosphere is dark and the fire gives the feel of power, of mystery and of evil. The adult in this poem can't believe that "he who made the lamb made thee", he can not rely on his faith, but instead is reliant on Scientific proof. In Blakes "Felpham and After" he writes "He's a blockhead ... who wants proof of what he can't perceive ... ...
