In the movie Titanic, there were different social classes that had to intertwine and try to get along. It really shows how different living is for all the levels of classes. .
When the movie first starts you see a lot of the lower class people, like Jack and his friends who are playing cards at the local pub trying to win tickets to get on the ship. When they win the tickets they get on the ship and go to their cabins that are very small. There are other lower class people there. Then when you see Rose and her family, who are dressed very nicely, it is very obvious that they are upper class people. When they go to their cabins they are very large and have numerous rooms in them with luxurious decorations all over the room. .
The classes don't really have to mix until Rose and Jack meet. The biggest difference is when Jack takes Rose downstairs where all of his friends and people in the same class as him are drinking and dancing. At first Rose seems to find all of these actions strange and ludicrous but after awhile she begins to drink and dance with the rest of them. The one male servant who knows Rose's family well watches her and thinks that it is absurd to see her with all of these people. If they had been of her social standings then nothing would have been thought of it. .

When Rose's family found out that she was interested in Jack they thought that it was bizarre because he was of such a lower class when she had a man who was going to marry her that was very rich. .
The second major experience when the classes were separated into groups was after the ship began to sink and start to crack and break they locked the people of the lower class underneath the ship while they rescued the first class people first. On top of the ship the people were trying frantically to get into boats but they would only let the first class people go. The lower class people were standing around watching the first class people be lowered down and trying to explain to their children why they had to wait.
