              Third, all members of the team should abide by the same objective, and have the same focus of effort toward the same goal. The team's accomplishments and successes would result from the combined efforts of each member to reach the same goal.
             The two examples that I presented in my introduction are two factual cases in which it has been proven the work teams can be successful when implemented correctly. When people work in groups, there are two quite separate issues involved. The first is the task and the problems involved in getting the job done. Most often than not this is the only issue that the group considers. The second is the interaction between the team members. The group operates this process as one, and not as a group of individuals. Management must pay particular attention to the latter because the value of the group could become diminished or even destroyed. On the other hand, if management does intervene by supporting and guiding the group, it can enhance the worth of the group to be many times the sum of the worth of its individuals. In today's corporate world, many companies are discovering that some of their competitors have increased their bottom lines because they now have work teams in their organizations.
             2. Characteristics of effective teams: - Groups of people working in the same room, or even on a common project, does not necessarily invoke the group process. There are dozens of examples of effective work teams throughout many different organizations and industries. As with any business that operates successfully, its success hinges on its management ability to guide its personnel to produce positively for the company.
