Tears of The Sun

Some of the people with them die, and in the last stretch of land, more people and even a few of the Navy S.E.A.L.s die, but most of them make it. They sacrificed their time to do more than just accomplish their mission, but do what they thought was right.
The Navy team in the beginning seemed heartless and the only focus they had was to complete their mission and get out of harms way in the least amount of time as possible. Instead they risked their lives and did everything in their power to save people they did not know, but they did know that if they did nothing to help them that the people would certainly die. .
I believe that an argument is three things. First, it is a clash of two ideas or opinions. Also, it is a person trying to prove a point to another person using particular opinions. Also, I think an argument is a person discovering truth, giving their side, and then making a choice depending on their own feelings and not the opinions of others. These are the three main characteristics of an argument. An argument can be much more than this or does not have to have all or even any of these points. .
In the movie Tears of the Sun all three of these types of arguments are shown very clearly. In the movie, the Lieutenant thinks that the navy should make an attempt at getting the natives out of their homeland to save them from the militia. However, the Captain tells him to trick the doctor and to bring her back to America as soon as possible with no interruptions. At first, there is no argument, because Lieutenant Waters tells the doctor that she only needs to come put her things in the helicopter, then when she gets near he grabs her and jumps into the helicopter and they leave. The movie even leads the viewer into thinking this is the outcome of the situation, but as they fly towards completing their mission, the Lieutenant has a gut check, and commands the pilot to turn around as to go and save the village that is marked for destruction.
