             about relationships and different personalities, veiws, or emotions and how they effect.
             each other. I think that the movie "The Great Gatsby" is sucessful in capturing the work .
             of the author on screen.
             I think the movie we watched in class does a nice job at capturing the mood of .
             The Great Gatsby. One example of the movie showing the mood described in the book.
             were Gatsby's partys. "Laughter is easier, minute by minute, spilled with prodigality, .
             tipped out at a cheerful word. The groups change more swiftly with new arrivals, .
             dissolve and form in the same breath--already there are the wanderers, confident girls .
             who weave here and there among the stouter and more stable, become for a sharp, .
             joyous moment the center of a group and then excited with triumph glide on through the .
             sea-change of faces and voices and colorunder the conconstantly changing light." .
             (Fitzgerald 44) This is a lengthy few sentences describing the atmosphere of people at .
             these partys. I think the movie did a great job by showing everyone happy and cheerful, .
             going from one group to another laughing over the roar of people. The movie also .
             made a point to show the girls wandering about triping and laughing carelessly.
             One thing that bothered me were the changes made to the movie "The Great .
             Gatsby" from the book. When I saw one of Gatsby's men punch out a guest it was .
             a shock because I had the veiw that if Gatsby is throwing these huge partys, putting .
             lots of money into them and expecting uninvited guests than his men wouldn't go .
             around punching rowdy guests. .
