MiG

The only plane ever to face the power of Lockheed, the American fighter jets" manufacturer. It is the MiG series, the tactical fighter. The MiG series has been manufactured from 1939 till present date. MiG stands for Mikoyan Gurevich. The secondary manufacturer for the MiG series is Saratov Aircraft Manufacture. The old MiG series has participated during the Korean War. The Korean War was between North and South Korea, North Korea being a communist country. There are different series of the MiG's overall strength in air combat. I will be focusing on the MiG 15, MiG 29 and the MiG 31 of their overall condition. .
The MiG has a very powerful gun and missiles. Its firing range is very long. Its wings are very big in radius than the US's F - 18. It was mostly used by the Soviet Union. The MiG-15 was developed by the Soviet Union following WW II. It began appearing in the air during the year 1949 and by 1952 it had been provided to a number of Communist satellite nations, including North Korea where it was used extensively against United Nations forces. Its guns and other weapons are two 23mm cannons and one 37mm cannon, plus rockets or 2,000 lbs. of explosives. The speed of this plane is 600mph. Then after sometime was the MiG - 29 series.
The primary role of the MiG-29 is to destroy air targets at distances from 60 to 200 kilometers (30 to 110 NM) at all altitudes, on all profiles, in any weather, and under all Environmental weather conditions. In addition, the basic MiG-29 is capable of limited air-to-ground operations and in advanced versions, has been optimized to attack both stationary and moving targets with accurate guided munitions. This aircraft is very lightweight and durable enough to withstand ground fire. Since it is lightweight, this plane can cruise up to mach 2.2. Mach is usually the speed of sound. .
The next jet is the MiG 31 FOXHOUND. The most capable Russian air defense interceptor aircraft, the FOXHOUND has a multiple-target engagement capacity and was the first Soviet fighter to have a true look-down, shoot-down capability.
