Serious Relationship

I am forty years of age, and I have had six serious relationships. Of the six, my first serious relationship prepared me for next four. My sixth serious relationship has given me so much happiness. .
My first serious relationship took during senior high school, and after I graduated from high school. Her name was Janese; she was my best friend sister. She and I dated for three years. We spent an enormous amount of time together; in additional, both of our families were very close. Yet, she felt or her sisters felt she should date other men, so she terminated our relationship. I must admit; I was devastated. Her brother acknowledged my devastation, so he gave me the utmost advice, which was to move on with your life. I took his advice and enlisted in the navy.
The next four serious relationships, I simply evaluated each one based on the previous relationship. I was looking for a mate who was independent minded, ambitious, likable personality; had things in common as myself, and no children. Each of the four possessed in some cases three of the four criteria's, but I was devoted to those criteria's, because the absence of one criteria resulted into a failed relationship. I finally found the individuals that comprised my criteria's.
My wife Rose fulfilled all of my criteria's. I met Rose during my tenure in the navy. She was very ambitious, and she had a reputation as being very well liked and a great sense of humor; in addition, She had to be independent minded, because her occupation in the navy required her to make decision at a moment noticed. She ascended the ranking system prior to her retirement from the navy. She and I have many similarities for example: we both are the eldest of large families, we are divorcee, we served in the navy, and she did not have children. We have a son now. My wife is my significant other. We did not marry, because we were in love; instead. We married, because we were friends.
