"In Public schools the health teachers are required by the state to teach the physical and mental changes of drugs to elementary school children" (Star Ledger). And the Dare program, which is run by the State Police, teaches kids in fifth and sixth grade to say no to drugs. Parents are also responsible for teaching their children about the danger of doing drugs such as crack, cocaine, heroine and inhalants like glue. All a person needs to do so is try drugs one time and they are hooked. Inhalants such as glue and laughing gas can cause a serious inquiry to the brain. It can leave a person brain dead or partially paralyzed.
Children learn about the dangerous effects of drugs by watching television, school and Dare programs or there parent. A parent has the most effect on the decision their child makes. A child should feel free to express their thoughts and opinions to their parents so parents can kwon what's going on with them and how they feel. If the child feels that they cannot talk to there parent they should talk to someone else like a friend or a teacher. If they feel they do not have someone to talk to they will do something to comfort them no matter if its illegal.
