My Life Journey - India to America

I first stepped in to the school when I was just 3. The very first day came out to be the best day of my life as I was interacting with many other kids of my age. It was fun and made many friends. After that, I kept on moving to higher level of education every passing year. I grew up from a kid to a teenager, learning both life and educational lessons. With education, my school also taught me about my personal cleanliness and good manners. Each grade, from kindergarten to 12th grade taught me something unique. I learned about how the daily mechanism of our life works. Education made it capable to help me understand how to be efficient in society.  .
Furthermore, I moved to U.S after I completed my junior. Unfortunately, I had to repeat the junior year again here. I never faced any difficulties. As I already knew how to read and write in English there was no struggle in understanding what teachers said or asked me to do. First marking period was bit confusing for me as the education system differs from Indian education system. Once I realized how it worked, I got honor roles in rest marking periods. Besides studies, I got job as a cashier at a convenient store. It made a big impact on my accent. I have also learned how to interact with people. Education is not just based on Science or math. It also involves writing and speaking skills. Along with studies and job, I was also a part of school's track and soccer team. My team member got to know me and also I made many good friends. It was a great opportunity for me to represent my school and compete with other teams. Talking about grade 12th, I learned to be an independent individual. It gave me realization about my responsibilities about myself and family.
I wanted to join college to get higher level of education. One more reason I would like to add is my parents, they never got good education as they couldn't afford college fees. Today I see them struggling as it is hard for them to understand English.
