            Essential question: In treating sleep disorders, which method is more effective: Alternative Holistic or Traditional Western medicine treatment?.
             If you have sleep disorders you want to treat them the fastest way possible. There are many different types of sleeping disorders and they all affect you differently but they have one thing in common, they make sleeping and staying asleep difficult. Sleep is very important and is an essential part of everyday life. There can be many consequences for those who go too long without sleep or bad sleep. Those who do have sleep disorders usually ask the question "how do you treat them"? There are actually two schools of thought you can use to treat sleep disorders. Some people prefer Traditional Western Medicine for its fast and more efficient way of treating sleeping disorders while others prefer Holistic Medicine. Some people use a combination of the two. The end goal is the same for everybody: get rid of sleeping disorders. But many people still ask, "Which one is the most effective"? In treating sleep disorders Traditional Western medicine is more effective with its fast and easy way to put people to sleep and have them stay asleep. .
             A sleep disorder is a condition that prevents a person from getting restorative sleep. It also can cause daytime sleepiness and dysfunction ("Sleep Disorders."). There are over 80 different types of sleep disorders but there are only four that are the most common. These disorders are Insomnia, Sleep Apnea, Restless Leg Syndrome, and Narcolepsy. Insomnia is difficulty initiating and maintaining sleep. The symptoms for this disorder are: difficulty sleeping, waking up too early with un-refreshing sleep and problems staying awake during the day ("Sleep Disorders."). There is also acute insomnia which is short term insomnia and chronic insomnia which is long term insomnia ("Sleep Disorders."). Sleep apnea is when a person is asleep and their breathing is interrupted.
