How and why is a social group (or person) represented in a particular way?.
In the former four decades, the controversy between a trio of powerful and merciless sides with a varied set of principles and ideas has aroused Colombia. The initially communist inspired rebel group known as the FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia), the conservative death squads known as the self-defense forces (known locally as paramilitares or paras) and the "rightful" but equally corrupt government and military of the country. The article "I Fell in Love with a Female Assassin" by Jason P. Howe goes in detail about how these uprisings against the government and their side effects influence the lives of the inhabitants and his own. Jason P. Howe portrays the illegal armed groups as greedy, violent, and imposing in order to demonstrate the difficult experiences of people who involuntarily get involved in the conflict. .
Once again the human race is avaricious and prevails over the values of human rights. Howe illustrates this by stating the history and structure of the illegal armed groups. The revolutionary armed forces began with an inspiration of a communist country but for the leaders own benefit the group has deviated to the point where their principles are no longer inspired in a social cause.
