Demographics of a Dental Business

             Gender .
Between 1982 and 1999, when the overall number of dental graduates decreased by 24 percent, female dental graduates increased by 73 percent, and this trend is projected to continue. This is fine news for dentistry; however, the percentage of female dentists working part-time has been two or more times that of males. Therefore, the projected shortage of dentists will include many more working a limited schedule for at least part of their careers. The shortage has already begun in rural areas and is expected to worsen.
In Washington, An increasing number of females are becoming licensed dentists in Washington. While the overall percentage of females in the workforce is 25%, the percentage of newly-licensed female dentists has been higher in recent years, up to a high point of 41% for the 2011 cohort of newly-licensed dentists. Based on the information from ADA above, females in this industry are increasing surprisingly. I noticed our clients are mainly male, we should also try to target female dentist since many females are beginning to enter this industry according to the ADA.
             Specialized Practices.
Most of the time, the word "dentist " is the only one you need to know in reference to your oral health. Every once in a while, though, you need a specialist. The list of specialties is as follows:.
             Endodontist.
             Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
             Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
             Oral Pathologist.
             Orthodontist.
             Pediatric dentist.
             Periodontist.
             Prosthodontist.
We should target dentists specializing in all scopes of dentistry. Thus, we really don't care what services they offer, all we care about is how to optimize those specialties on the web.
             Income.
According to the BLS, dentists earned a median salary of $145,240 in 2012. The best-paid earned more than $187,999, while the lowest-paid earned less than $74,130. Dentists who work in private offices are paid particularly well, but so are those who work alongside other health practitioners.
