We, as a team look for maintaining better standard while taking care of the clients. There is a close relationship between the workers and the persons taken care of. For example, when a client comes for treatment or seeks help, at first we try to mingle with him affectionately. According to Pellegrino, E., Thomasma, D. and Kissel, J. (2000), cultural values are an important factor in terms of providing better help. We take holistic approach in taking care of the clients. For example, a health professional may have the experience and skills but any lacking in personal values would have an impact.
             1.3 Discussion on the impacts of changes and new developments in legislation and personal values on work in health and social care.
             The new legislation provides rules that enable a care worker becoming more responsible. It ensures the right of the caregiver by protecting their clients from any discrimination. The legislation helps the professional in health and social care to understand the cultural diversification among different group of people. The anti-discrimination act protects the rights of different race, colour, sex, physical disability and vulnerable people. In UK there is a strong legislation. Every clients get quality care and decent treatment. The law supports this consequence. It protects the community from being discriminated.
             According to Journey S. (2010), there are three different types of values which are believed to be important since they play a role in maintaining harmony in life. These three values are: universal, cultural, and personal. A client can be different in opinion, attitudes and values. As a result it can put influence on the professionals. Any professional in health and social care must interact with his clients efficiently. Any conflicts arising from the client`s perspective may be dangerous.
