The Turkish Education System

 

            
             In this paper, Turkish Educational System will be described in detailed. This research attempt to answer some questions such as "Is there any compulsory education in Turkey?" "Do the learners have to take any exam to go on any higher level?" and "Are there any separated school which based on gender or quality?" This research will try to answer these questions and illustrate the education system of Turkey in a detailed way. To achieve this, every part of education system will be illustrated separately. First of all, the formal education and the part of formal education –Primary School, Secondary School, High Schools and Universities will be discussed. Secondly informal education will be illustrated in this paper. .
             Introduction.
             The Turkish formal education is separated 4 stages: Pre-school education, primary school education, secondary school education and higher education. Pre-school and higher education is not compulsory education for every learner but they have to complete Primary school and secondary school stages. We will discuss all the stages individually.              1. Pre School in Turkey.
             As it was discussed before, pre schools are not compulsory education in Turkey. It can start at the age of 3 till 5. General aim of the pre-schools is to prepare the learners school life and rules. Besides;.
             Teach them to speak Turkish fluently,.
             Provide the learners mental and emotional development, .
             Make them acquire good habits.
             Unfortunately, pre-school education is not well improved in terms of schooling rate. It is expanded in the city centers where the most of the mothers has an occupation. However, pre-schools are vital to make the children socialize and making them more independent. They can learn not only social life by making friends or belonging in a group but also can they learn some psychomotor attitudes such as holding a pen, drawing and making some crafts.
