Class Valedictorian Graduation Speech

Good evening! My name is Madison ___________ and I am speaking on behalf of the W. I would like to welcome parents, family members, friends and faculty. Thank you for sharing this very special occasion with us. I feel both privileged and proud to be standing here reflecting upon our elementary years, and to anticipate our high school experience. .
Together, we have had quite the journey. As National Geographic writer Tim Cahill once said, "A journey is best measured in friends. Not kilometers." I am assured that the friendships we have developed will forever reflect on the journey we have shared. We would of never have gotten this far if it weren't for our supportive teachers. They believed in us and helped us succeed. I remember when Mrs. Rowles came to support me in my First Holy Communion. This school reminds me of a big, happy family. Like many of us, my journey at Langlois began in 2002. I was in Mrs. Dauncey's JK/SK class in the afternoon. Since the very first day, weve all learned to get along with one another and to follow rules. We've learned how to work in groups, and the importance of being ourselves. We've learned the basics of reading, writing and arithmetic. We've gained an appreciation of music, the opportunity to play sports and the importance of good sportsmanship. That's what makes this school so amazing. These skills will stay with us for the rest of our lives!.
At a Catholic school, one of the basic requirements we need to learn is our religion. This year many of us made our Confirmation. Confirmation is when we confirm the beliefs of our faith, receive the Holy Spirit and becoming young adults in the church. We've come a long way to get to where we are now. Even though next year we will be parting our ways, and heading off to high school, we will remember all the great experiences and opportunities that we had. To name a few: Camp Cedar Win in grade 6, going to Canadas Wonderland for All-Star Band, participating in Student Council, going to the Ropes Course in grade 7, attending plays, school dances, sports teams, and so much more.
