Population and Electricity Usage

In this culminating project, the question being reviewed is whether the population of a country affects the amount of electricity used. The third part of this project is the data collection stage. We will collect all relevant data from reputable sources to test our hypothesis and expand upon the detailed explanation for all of the data collected. As stated in our planning stage, our data will be broken down into proportions such as per capita and population density. In this third stage, we will illustrate all relevant data graphically using computer software and provide descriptions of all data to further explain and support our question being reviewed. .
After examining other variables contributing to potential bias within our study in the previous stage, we have a final settlement on choices of reputable sources that will be used to ensure a proper, concise and thorough study. The main source that will be used throughout our culminating project and investigation is the Central Intelligence Agency. This site will be used to locate our data for the population, electricity and account balances of various countries around the world. We chose to use this site to collect our data, as it is a credible and reliable source. The statistics from this source will help us draw conclusions on whether the population of a country affects the amount of electricity used and if our prediction that the population of a country affects the amount of electricity used per year, with the larger countries using more and smaller countries using less is correct. Additional sites for further research and support include the International Statistical Institute and Dictionary.com. Using these sites will help us expand our knowledge, thinking and ability to draw conclusions when examining the population, electricity, and account balance of all countries in the world. .
