The Benefits of Organic Foods

Do you know the main reason for having heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and being obese? Well, if we would have wanted to keep ongoing on naming diseases it can take an entire day to name all the diseases that impact our society. Unfortunately, the primary cause of each of those illnesses will always relate to our food industry; a broken food industry, that currently leads us to a dead-end. The food industry has become a big monopoly, such as big companies like Friendly's, which has significantly monopolized the ice cream and frozen food industry. Thanks to Friendly's empowerment, other companies like Magnum Ice cream, who are fighting against diabetes by using materials to make a 100% organic diabetic friendly ice cream cannot accomplish their goal when going up against giants like Friendly's. Because in term of cost Friendly's has all the companies and the machinery to produce the ice cream while Magnum has to pay farmers in order to produce the food naturally, and lots of workers for their assembly line to pack the food.  We know the drill, although the Friendly's products are "cheap," eventually the price we pay in society ends up costing more. For example, the price on medicine, medical cost, the impact on the environment.in the long run, it ends up costing more. .
Based on Mayo Clinic research article "The Brand New You, 2014", the word "organic" applies to the way farmers produce agricultural products; such as fruits, vegetables, dairy and meat products. According to Misner and Florian (2014), the Associate Nutrition Specialist at Arizona State University, organic foods are the type of foods that are produced without the use of artificial composts, grasses, and fungal pests that damage the crops. Furthermore, when it comes to animals breeding, naturally raised animals are those raised and fed organically and kept free from antibiotics and hormones. Oftentimes they are treated more humanely and have more open space to live than their non-organic correlatives.
