             History of the Company .
             The Ford Motor Company was founded in 1903 by a gentleman named Henry Ford Sr. (A Timeline of Ford Motor Company.) Henry Ford was became known for making cars for the masses and turning his company into a national icon. Four years after Ford was founded, the Model T was created. (A Timeline of Ford Motor Company.) This car was one of the most popular cars produced in the world. Production of this car was so vast that Ford had to implement the first automated assembly line directly because of the Model T. (A Timeline of Ford Motor Company.) It wasn't all fine and dandy throughout the early years of Ford. At one point Ford had to shutdown due to low sales, after assessing their problems the company reopened not too long after its closure. (Henry Ford) A few years later the Model T was discontinued from production, but this did not stop Ford. (Henry Ford)After the discontinuation, Ford began to produce novel and extremely inventive vehicles. In the early years, Chevrolet was really the only competition for Ford. The competition began creeping up on Ford in the later half of the 20th century, more and more companies were working their way into the automobile industry. (HISTORY of Ford Motor Company). When Ford began to realize there potential, they began producing various types of vehicles which took their production in all kinds of directions. Ford was producing sports cars, jeeps, truck, etc.; they were creating vehicles from every angle of the spectrum.
