Implied in this search is the desire to control phenomenon. The Holographic Universe established mind over matter, empowering individuals to inform their culture rather than allow culture to determine their mind (Brennan 42). Thus, the sickness that is present in global culture reflects the sickness in the psyche of humanity.
Jesus Christ was able to perform miracles because he saw into the ture nature of reality, and his role is shaping it. He saw the connecting principle supporting all matter, and with the strength of his spirit and will was able to influence it. Throughout his ministry, Christ encouraged others to follow his example, and to manifest their spirit through faith. He was constantly disappointed by his disciples and the common people who would rather marvel than try. This is largely due to the fact that people allow outside authorities to define what they are internally rather than going to the internal source for truth. .
External sources only have the power people give them, and therefore are fundamentally insecure. Not good ground to base one's faith. Christ alluded to this truth in his parable about not building on sandy ground (Matthew 7:24-27). This is why Jesus was killed for his kindness; the establishment (government/Pharisees) did not want to lose the power they were given by fearful people. It is fear of the unknown that keeps people from making changes in their minds, lives, and communities. It takes faith that life can be better to demand positive change. In her book Light Emerging, Barbara Ann Brennan encourages her healing students to imagine the freedom that the holistic paradigm (Holographic Universe) brings; "In a hologram, we are both the observer and the creator. We are not just a part of a pattern, we are the pattern. A hologram is out of linear time and three-dimensional space. It is the interconnectedness of everything" (Brennan 43). Inherent in this paradigm is the cessation of time as it is limited in traditional mechanistic paradigms.
