             The hologram offers unlimited flexibility and complexity. "This is a scientific metaphor for Christ's statement 'I and the Father are One''' (Brennan 44). When Christ said that no one goes to the Father except through Me he could have been referring to the Christ spirit that is present in all beings (John 14:6). Christ's message has been co-opted by the fundamentalist Pharisees that he decried in his age; those who have a vested interest is disempowering the masses in seeking to supplant their authentic authority. Even being co-opted to this corrupt goal, the purity of Christ's example still shines through. .
             One reason the teaching of Jesus' healing had been lost is the nature of teaching in antiquity. The written material that has been preserved does not give a step-by-step account of how to walk the Path that leads to Enlightenment, and to the fruits of healing. Esoteric knowledge has been safeguarded by the masters of the teachings, had been taught orally, and is meant only for adepts who have been prepared to discover truth. This is because knowledge is power, and power can be misused (Stein 10). Those who guarded the gates of power made sure that those searching out the path were sincere, and had motivations of compassion and not domination. Thus, teachings can be lost if the master does not find an appropriate pupil. This was the case with Christ. He was crucified and received into heaven very shortly after revealing himself as the son of God, working miracles, and gaining disciples. Christ did not have the time to pass on his wisdom to the disciples, and so the teachings were lost. .
             For the scholar of perennial wisdom (the Tao/the Way) or the Buddhist adherent, psychic experiences, sensations, and skills are the fruit of a healthy consciousness. This is a natural gift of a being properly aligned with their spirit, and not a special skill of the chosen. Thus, psychic abilities were more common in antiquity, and the intimate relationship people had with nature (Goddess worship) in the past strengthened this aspect of being.
