Approaching California Screamin' we noticed there was no line, but unfortunately this was due to the fact that World of Color was about to start, meaning there would be no ride until at least nine, once it had finished. Reluctantly, I convinced the girls to go walk and see about Grizzly River Rapids since it was still hot, as well as Soaring Over California, since it is my all time favorite ride there. As we walked to Grizzly River Rapids, Caroline turns to me and says "I think those guys behind us are talking about us. One of them said we were fresh I think." And of course, me making a complete fool of myself and scoffing it off said, "Oh, yeah fresher then that can of Febreze." Yet as we continued to walk I heard a certain accent leave those boys lips behind us, immediately stopping me in my tracks. I was a sucker for an accent, of any sort. I watched as they went into the line for Grizzly River Rapids and immediately guided the girls to the line so that I could better investigate this. .
Standing in line, there was a pair of sisters separating us four from the eight of them, and this was something I was starting to dread as I exchanged glances with one of the boys. He was exactly what my mom would have defined as my type of guy; he was tall, piercing blue eyes and that smirk that would melt any girls' heart. Throughout the entirety of the wait we simply shared glances and tried various tactics to get the others attention until we finally approached the ride. Their group boarded the boat and we were on the boat right after, seeming to start the conversation. They yelled to us asking us questions as to whether or not we knew where they were from and there was a lot of banter back and forth from both groups throughout the ride. A ride we all surely wouldn't forget, especially me. .
As we got off the ride, both groups stood about ten feet from each other, not exchanging words, again just merely gazes.
