2. Sin has ruined that plan.
3. Christ died to take away your sin debt. .
4. You can accept Christ by faith. .
We will equip the teams with gospel tracts to use as they go out into the community, shopping centers and colleges in our area. We will make the presence of the church known again in the community. One of the tracts I think should be used is "True Story" by James Choung. It explains how we were: .
1. Designed for Good .
2. Damaged by Evil .
3. Restored for Better.
4. Sent Together to Heal Each Other.
Postcards about the upcoming musical event to reintroduce our church and introduce our new pastor to the community will be handed out also. This event is also part of the evangelism plan which is called "Event Evangelism" where we have people of the community come out and enjoy the event along with the church. We will invite all that we see and come in contact with and evangelize to them at the same time. You have to invite people all the time because everyone you meet and invite is a potential member, remember "No Guests, No Growth." .
Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts will be started to use as a tool to reach those we don't meet in the street. I think that would be something to help get the youth involved also. The youth can be a great asset to the evangelism team if their strengths are used, and social media is one of their strengths. We don't want them to post our event on there just once either, at least a few times a day, to keep the idea, the church and the event in front of their followers and the followers of the church. We should also have a web presence on the World Wide Web. These days a lot of people use the internet to find things (restaurants, churches, schools, stores, etc.) in their community. If those organizations can have a web presence, the church should too. It doesn't have to be elaborate but it does have to be informative. George Barna says that in any given week 17 million non-church goers visit a church website looking for service times, activities, directions to the church, streaming video and prayer requests.
