             The Golden Retriever is an excellent choice for families that enjoy lots of outdoor activities. Sportsmen admired the golden retriever's athletic ability and devotion.              Along with being gentle and loving dogs they are very intelligent and talented. Goldens have been used for hunting, retrieving, drug detection and competitive obedience. Golden retrievers love to play games; golden retrievers enjoy fetching frisbees, performing tricks, and can be taught to find hidden items. Also, golden retrievers love to swim!.
             The Golden Retriever needs little daily exercise, like a run in the yard or a good swim to maintain good health and condition. Their coat needs some grooming, and they shed their undercoat. Puppy classes are important for the golden retriever. They must learn how to tame their natural friendless to other dogs and their over exertion for greeting people. Most people do not like to be leaped on or ran over by a dog.
             Many dogs work well with children, but always know there are good dogs and bad dogs in every breed.
