From ancient times, the human being development has been driven by the motivation to have a better life. Century by century, this aspiration was fulfilled by individuals and by societies as a whole. Human aspirations, wills and wishes were transformed into ideas, methods to get things done, and later in deeds. This resulted in human development and civilization risings. However, the human being was not able to fulfill some of its aims and wishes. On one side, there was a lack of technology. For example, the airplane offered the humans the possibility to fly. On the other hand, there were barriers that people perceived as unreachable even in the far future. Those were things, which only gods were able to do. The reason why men invented religion is to explain the inexplicable, because they feared it. In the Stone Age, the human could not conceive thunders. Although it was later explained by physics the thunder was a great mystery to the Stone Age man. As a result, the thunder was explained by numerous men-invented stories. The stories evolved into beliefs that gave birth to religions.
Religion is a set of beliefs, attitudes, and practices . Ancient people evolved separately, and each of the ancient civilizations developed their own religion. More or less different from one another, all the religions have resemblance in their formation and major beliefs. The religions that led to the formation of denominations such as Protestantism, Hinduism, etc. are considered Christianity, Islam and Buddhism.
One common belief is life after death. This belief can be considered as a reward to the followers of every religion. The ways to follow the belief in "life after death" in the world major religions are more interesting. I would like to focus on this topic in my essay after giving a short description of every religion.
