Graduate School

It was the summer of 2000 and I found myself receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the University in Management Information Systems. I was excited to embark on my job search and begin a career in the technology industry. My education had prepared me to perform a number of job duties. I had decided to pursue a career in web development.
My first occupation out of school was doing technical support, but then I found a position doing web development with a small agricultural company. This company has given me my best work experience. Due to the company's size, I was given the opportunity to propose new ideas and concepts while working together with the CIO, CEO, and the owners themselves. This process offered me a great introduction into how a business really operates from top to bottom. However, this experience came to an end when the company no longer required my services after we launched our major online project. .
The thing I enjoyed most about being a web developer was the fact that you could see the immediate results of your efforts. This is also a reason why I have enjoyed writing throughout my life. Being able to observe a final product after the work that you put into it is satisfying. Another positive aspect of web development is that it allows you to be creative and contribute your own ideas. I enjoy sharing my ideas with coworkers and receiving feedback and criticism. .
Writing has always been something I have enjoyed. Other than the writing through my educational career, I have composed short stories, poetry, and songs. My imagination and creativity allow me to compose a variety of things that are original and unique. Having my work published has been a long time goal of mine and learning new writing skills would make this more possible.
I consider myself an intelligent individual and I attribute that to my curiosity and desire to learn. Generally, I am interested in anything that I don't know much about.
