Movie Review

In the movie "Minority Report," a new age fighting tool has been invented. Three highly intellectual human beings called Pre-Cogs, are able to see when a murder happens before it happens. Their mothers all used drugs while they were pregnant, and this caused the children to have this special skill. These children were taken from their mother because she used drugs, and when they were found to have this special skill, they were put to work.
In the beginning, the program is only in use around the Washington, D.C. area, and has not yet been approved to go national. The Precrime division has been running for six years now, and there has not been a single murder. People see this as an awesome crime fighting tool, and do not doubt its ability one bit. It has proven to the public that it is full proof and it is never wrong, but that is about to change.
John Anderton ( Tom Cruise) is the Chief for Precrime. He got involved with this division after his son was kidnaped from a public pool and presumably was murdered. His heart in soul is in the program, because he wants to find the murderer of his son and bring him to justice. Anderton has been into drugs since his son disappeared, but this does not seem to have an effect on his job, and everybody who works with him ignores the fact that he does it.
One day Anderton name comes up as a killer, according to the Pre-Cogs, who are never wrong. A day earlier, Anderton had contact with a Pre-Cog by the name of Agatha. Agatha showed Anderton a vision, and Anderton asked the Technician where the feed was coming from, and the guy said that this was an event that had already happened. Anderton did more research on the vision and found that some things were missing. Then low and behold the next day his name comes up as a murderer.
As John eludes other officers trying to catch him, he contacts the head of Precrime, who is Lamar Burgess(Max von Sydow). He tells him that he is being set up and Lamar says he will help him, but John says he has to find another way.
