The Daily Plan It

 

            The first obligation for the day is to organize what is going to take place throughout the day. This is completed by having a meeting with staff and employer on what we would like to do with our individuals. We also look at what will be beneficial for each person and how we can incorporate each individual into the daily plans. After this takes place, I take one of our individuals on the morning van run. The van run consists of picking up three individuals who do not have transportation to the Daily Plan It. After this is completed I have to make sure everyone arrives safely and then I have to communicate with them what their goals and tasks are for that current day. Then after that I begin to lead everyone in the right direction. Also, I have to supervise and look after those people in need of aid. Such as, one individual who needs aid while she cleans the bathrooms and mops the floors. After all individuals begin their work schedule, I have to normally take four individuals to the library to complete landscaping. We cover the grounds and make sure all trash and any other garbage is picked up. Also, the grounds are also swept, and cleaned. When this is completed then we place the trash and recycling in their proper place. After we arrive back at the Daily Plan It, I then have to ask individuals if they need lunch and if so order it for them. Then, I will bring a few individuals to the restaurant and allow them to participate in money management and other socials while buying lunch. Some individuals do not understand the difference between coins, and this causes complication. In addition, these individuals are able to practice and learn by experience/guidance. After lunch is completed, our individuals have to clean up their lunch and clean their area in which they sat at. When all is completed, this is when I have to prepare them for their afternoon transportation. Each individual has a different van, and I have to make sure each individual gets on the bus safely.
