The Goat

Here's a little story about an incident that happened to me when I was four. I lived in La Habra Heights and my house had 2 acres or so of empty land. My family decided to fill that space with animals. We had birds, bulldogs, a cow, rabbits, and a goat. One day I wandered out and was running around my front yard in a shirt and underwear. My parents told me to calm down and that I"d end up getting hurt. I of course didn't listen to them. I was a carefree four year old just wanting to have a good time. I continued to run around my front yard. There was a wooden fence surrounding my goat. I crawled underneath the opening and continued my running around inside. I apparently attracted the attention of the goat. All of a sudden I hear the scraping of hooves on the ground and a grunting noise in the distance. The goat charged me and I began running for my life, screaming like a little school girl. My four year old feet apparently were able to motor around fast enough. The goat struck my right in the butt and sent me flying. I landed face first in what I hope was only mud. I ran inside my house crying, my parents asked me what happened and after telling them my father said that's what you get. I washed myself off and afterwards I checked the wounded area. My butt was still red and I could see two horn imprints, one for each cheek. I guess I learned my lesson because nothing has ever rammed this butt since then.
