Hip hop is one of the most listened type of music in the African American community today. Hip hop has been around for years, and has changed over a period of time. Hip hop has special elements to it. It has a beat, that can make anyone dance to it. It can be about anything like any type of music. However, some artists have taken hip hop to other levels, such as triphop which is a fusion of techno and other types of music. Trip hop isn't very common in the United States, but in other parts of the world, like Britain. HIP HOP is one of the most common Music Industries to be in right now. There are many different types of hip hop artists, from black to white. There are very many types of artists, there are hardcore artists and soft artists. A hard core artists would be some one like 50 cent, Big Pun, Notorious BIG etc. And a soft artist would be Ja Rule, DMX, Jay-z etc. Hip hop is very controversial among certain individuals because they think one artist is better than another, which results in conflict. For example Tupac and Notorios BIG, which caused alot of contreversy from NY to LA . It was a serious issue which resulted in death for both of the artists. How ever, all their fans still listen to their albums and remember them as legends despite the contreversy. Hip hop is the hardest industry to get into. 50% of teenagers are trying to make it into the business by free styling at home or with their boys. It's hard to get into the business unless you're well connected with a manager, or some sort. But most boys and girls do it for fun, like enter battles. Hip hop will always live and never die, it's been here for years, and it keeps getting stronger. People often hate it because they think it's about drugs, weed,sex and stuff. If so, they shouldn't listen to artists they don't like, because they got clean artists out there, for example WILL SMITH, T-BONE etc. .
