Which coast do you prefer

 

            
             Which coast would you prefer to reside in? The beaches, palm trees, hills, and flowers of California; or the sunny skies, beaches, and Smokey- Mountains of North Carolina. North Carolina is a state all about manufacturing goods. Tobacco farming is a priority. It is known as the Tar Heel State, because of the state's earliest product- tar. People are attracted to North Carolina because of its natural beauty. They also appreciate the fact that there are actually four different seasons. On the West coast, in the state of California, there are only three seasons. If you ask most Californians they would say there is spring, summer, and fall. People are attracted to California's outdoor way of life. The warm dry climate of California permits outdoor recreation all year round. It is known as the Golden State, because of its brilliant sunshine. I have been privileged to live in both North Carolina and California, and have come to the conclusion that I prefer to live in California rather than North Carolina. Although there are many similarities between the two states, there are also many differences like climate, cost of living, and the number of job opportunities available.
             In the state of North Carolina the climate is very different from that of California. During the summer time which is the months of June, July, and August, the temperature can sometimes reach above 100 degrees. The winter is during the months of November, December, and January and the temperature can get below 0 degrees. In the Golden State of California summer is during the months of: May, June, July, and August. During this time the temperature is usually between 70- 85 degrees. During the so-called winter months of November, December, and January the temperature ranges anywhere between 50-60 degrees, which is why most people think that California doesn't have a winter. Californians are seen occasionally wearing sweaters, sweatshirts, and jackets to fight off the breeze that has accumulated, or for the commonly seen foggy mornings.
