            Every time Poe writes poetic prose, he does it intense and .

             " The Cast of Amontillado ", is a prose where the narrator has no .
             worries, he's conscience is clean, and the narrator is free at the .
             end. On the other hand, " The Tell Tale Heart ", is without a .
             doubt a different poetic prose. In this tale, the narrator feels .
             guilty about what he has done, he is insane, and at the end he goes .
             to jail. However, as you read these two literary tragedies, it might .
             be a little different than you might have expected. .

             " The Cast of Amontillado ", is a powerful tale of revenge. .
             Poe write this story from the perspective of Montresor (Main .
             Character), who vows revenge against Fortunato (Montresors" .
             conscience) in an effort to support his time honored family motto. .
             Poes's poetic prose is a style of premeditated murder because as .
             you read this tale , you"ll become aware of the fact that .
             Montresor is not a reliable narrator, and that he has a tendency .
             to hold grudges and exaggerate terribly as he refers to the .
             "thousand injuries that he had suffered at the hands of .
             Fortunato". In structure, there can be no doubt that both .
             Montresor's plan of revenge and Poe's story are carefully crafted .
             to create the desire of effect towards the reader.
             In contrast, " The Tell Tale Heart " consists in human nature .
             that is a delicate balance of light and dark; good and evil. Unlike, .
             " The Cast of Amontillado", Poe writes this tale from the point of .
             view of the murderer of the old man. The narrator in this .
             particular story, adds to the overall effect of horror and suspense .
             by continually stressing to the reader that he or she is not mad, .
             and tries to convince you of the fact by how well observed this .
             brutal crime was planned and done. Poe's literary prose is a case .
