Speak

There is difference in society, and nothing is matched better than the way different people deal with things. Sometimes life presents a decision for you to make, and sometimes the right decision isn't always the one that everyone is happy with. But sometimes you have to do what's right, no matter the consequence. A part of making decisions are the consequences that come along as extra baggage, it's also about not being afraid to speak up for your beliefs, and how experience effects us all. Although everyone is born free of experience, it's the events in our lives that make every human different because it's human nature to react and adapt to change as well as the world around us, nevertheless we as humans do have the choice to stand up for what we believe in. For we all have a voice, so every human can speak. .
From the first moment of her freshman year at Merryweather High, Melinda Sordino knows that this is a big fat lie, part of the nonsense of high school. She is friendless, outcast, because she busted an end-of-summer party by calling the cops, so now nobody will talk to her, let alone listen to her. Her peers don't even want anything to do with her, and she really doesn't want anything to do with them either. Melinda wonders about what is cool, what may be cool, and makes her own assessment of humanity by classifying people into different categories, and she doesn't belong to any of them. It's something that makes Melinda upset, weather she admits it or not. Melinda's life goes down the proverbial hole once the school year starts, and her only friend is her art teacher. She meets a girl, and then she starts hanging out with one of the groups, her and Melinda go their separate ways. .
Melinda's parents work their, "seven to whenever" jobs and she doesn't feel that they care about her as much as they should. Her life gets progressively worse, and Melinda comes to a decision that enough is enough, and experiments with some different things.
