Holes: The Book and the Movie The Same?

Have you ever noticed that some books are boring, but then you watch the movie and it seems to have some scenes that you haven't read about? How about some scenes that writers cut off in order to make the movie more action-like, more interesting, more comical, and not so long. My class noticed these cut-off parts in English class and compared the book to the movie. After we were done, we noticed that the book and the movie were not the same. .
The book obviously had more details that could help illustrate the settings in your mind, but a movie brought it to the next power. Not only could you see the settings, but you could see them the way Louis Sachar did. Let's go to the text and compare. The first thing I noticed was that BarfBag was the first character to be pinpointed in the movie. The first character in the book was Stanley. Another thing was that was interesting was that Stanley was overweight in the book, but he was any normal kid in the movie ("I wonder" note: I wonder why they didn't use an overweight kid to play for Stanley?). .
There are some parts in the movie that weren't in the book, like the part where the yellow-spotted lizard attacks Stanley and Mr. Sir. That part was created to spice up the movie and make it more heart-pounding. I liked this scene because it surprised me while I was caught up in the calmer scenes of the movie. .
My favorite part in the book was when Stanley looked at the stars on Big Thumb. There he realized that he was content and that his destiny had played a big role. But his courage was about to be tested, and it was time to show off. I liked this part because it was so smooth and full of pure feelings. .
My favorite part in the movie was the same as in the book because it was still calming (even though in the book, Zero was sleeping during this moment) and it was relief for the fast-paced scenes. I think that this part was sort of like the "System Idle Process" on your computer (the less applications running on your computer, the more the System Idle percentage is.
