Daily worship, which is Puja, is an important ritual. These type of rituals which originated in the mandira (Hindu temple.) It is thought to bring prosperity and good health. Puja is just like a type of fire sacrifice., in which gods were invited down from heaven and presented with offerings. Puja is the most frequently performed Hindu religion. In there homes people keep a shrine dedicated to one or more deities. The shrine contains images of major gods and goddesses, it is located in a corner, niche or up on a shelf. Puja consists of 3 ritual steps: 1. Seeing the deity.
             2. Puja or worship which includes offering flowers, fruits and cooked food called Bhog.
             3. Retrieving the blessed food, called prasada, and consuming it.
             through these steps the worshiper create a relationship with the divinity through there emotions and senses.
             Hindus believe in a term known as Dharma, which means moral duty or law. The origin of the word goes back when the word rita meant cosmic order. The divine law of rita states that everything has a proper place, function, and order. Rituals were performed before and after childhood. Three rites are performed before the child is born. The rite of conception, the wish for a male child, and protection of the fetus. There are several rites performed in the early stages of childhood. .
             1. The most important ritual, which is known as the naming ceremony, which is held on the 10th or 12th day after birth.
             2. The second ritual is celebrated when a baby is weaned from its mother, and it can start eating solid foods.
             3. Between the ages of one and 5 girls experience there first ear piercing, and boys their first haircut.
             The last ritual performed at adolescence is the upanayana ritual; it is usually referred to as the twice born ritual. Only males may go through this ritual, and it is when they are spiritually reborn again.
             Marriage is one of the most important rituals in a Hindu's life.
