When I think about going to university, I shutter.
I do not know what to expect because I have never been there. The only .
way I can think of what to expect is by listening to what other people who have been .
there say. I think that some parts of university sound good but others do not sound so .
great. The good things about going to university are that I will get to meet new people .
and that I will have an excellent education when I graduate. The not so great things about .
going to university are that I am leaving NLSS and my family. Also university is very .
expensive.
The first good thing that I know about university is that you get to meet lots of .
different people. Some may be nice and friendly where others will be cross, grumpy, and .
stay out of my way type of people. I will also meet lots of wonderful and wacky people .
but I know I will also meet some real losers. The new people I will meet when I go to .
university that have the biggest effect on me will be my roommates. Sometimes the .
roommates are nice people who don't bother you but sometimes the roommates you hear .
people are with are very scary because they do weird things.Going to university and .
meeting new people is just one good thing. Getting an excellent education is another.
Having a goal to pursue a career in the field of sciences is another good thing. I .
know I will complete what I set out to accomplish because I have a goal and a strong .
focus on what I want to do. However, I know that it may be difficult at times, as I will .
have to leave NLSS and my family.
One negative thing about going away to university is I will have to leave NLSS .
and every thing and everyone associated with it. This includes leaving my best friend .
that I have been friends with since Grade 1. When I leave this area and go to university I .
will also be separated from my family that I am very near and dear to. I know I will be .
very sad for the first few weeks plus lacking in finances.
