             BPM (business process mapping) or also know as business process redesign most of the time occurs when the developer/analyst team is asked to re-examine the current business flow and a greater detail scope and find out which areas can be modify or tuned to supercede the current performance and flow of the business.              our organization, we do not use any 3rd party product to assist in optimizing our process. We current use an Oracle native product that came embedded with the Oracle Financial ERP solution. The product is called Workflow builder and we are not using it to portray the transactions between purchasing and accounts payables. .
             The Oracle Workflow builder is a graphical representation of the business processes of our company according to the rules and specification we have stipulated previously. One of the greatest features of the workflow tool is the ability to view the flow of, for example, PO purchase order. It can route the entire PO purchase order process from the moment it was created to the point where it has been approved/reject or "stuck". If is on the "stuck" status, the Workflow points out what step is impeding continuity of the flow. Oracle Workflow can be used extensively to other business areas by modeling according to the business.
