I found gate 4A and plopped myself down next to a middle aged lady with brown straight hair and reading glasses. She had her hands folded across her lap, and was leaning her head back with her mouth open slightly, sleeping. She was out like a light. Nothing was going to wake this woman up, not even an earthquake. Must've been a rough night. Maybe it was jet lag. Who knows. .
"Boarding passengers with children or special needs at this time for Spirit Airlines Flight 731 to New York City,"" the lady at the ticket counter announced.
I decided to use the bathroom before they'd call my row.
"Boarding first class passengers at this time for Spirit Airlines Flight 731 to New York City. Again, boarding first class passengers only at this time for Spirit Airlines Flight 731 to New York City."".
Aye aye. I waited longer. I opened the book I had just bought. Fresh, new, crisp book. I love reading. .
"Now boarding aisles 1-27 for Spirit Airlines flight 731 to New York City at this time."".
Yes, at last that was me.
I took my seat on the plane and found I was assigned a seat next to a guy who looked about twenty one and had dark hair and dark eyes. He had headphones on and was reading SPIN magazine. For some reason, there was something about him that made me find him strikingly attractive. There was nothing special in particular about him. He was thin and he had a shaved head, but not to the point where he was bald. I placed my belongings in the overhead bin and asked the guy if I could have the window seat because I wouldn't get up to go to the bathroom anyway. He obliged and moved so I could scoot into the seat. I fastened my seat belt and gazed out the window with an anticipation that caused me to be agitated and bounce my knee up and down.
"ADD?- the guy next to me asked.
"Haha. What?- .
"You keep shaking your leg like you have to pee."".
"Oh, no no. Haha. I always do that; I just can never sit still.
