Was the treaty of versailles unfair on germany

The Treaty of Versailles was to stop any further World Wars and to punish Germany for what she had apparently started. .
Personally I think the Treaty was harsh and totally out of order on Germany because the treaty had clauses on it they did not even apply to Germany. For Example: Germany had to except total war guilt for a war they didn't even start. .
Other clauses on the treaty stated that any country had the right to pass through Germany for transportation. Germany's Naval, Military had been restricted to a certain amount of people. .
Parts of Germany had to be given to surrounding countries. This meant that Germans became part of the countries that the land was given to.
The French had taken control of one of the richest parts of Germany, Saar. Saar was full of French soldiers and no Germans allowed in. Saar was home to the richest coal mine in the country .German soldiers where also banned form the Rhineland another rich industrial part of Germany.
Germany's fishing waters were also restricted. All of the land Germany had taken over the years had to be given back.
Germany were not allowed to join the league of nation which is like the United Nations today. .
The war leaders of Germany were put on trail and faced the heaviest penalties. .
The American and English Prime Ministers of the time thought the treaty was extremely harsh on the Germans, but the French just wanted revenge for all the damage Germany had caused over the four years at war. .
The treaty was completely ignored when Hitler came to power and started the Second World War. Sop if the treaty was made would world war two ever have started?.
What do I think. Well if I was Prime Minister of England or the American President, I would have of never agreed to the harshest terms on the treaty I would only agree to the softer terms and in some cases I probably would never have signed the treaty. .
