Coral Reefs

Have you ever wondered what coral reefs really looked like? Ever wondered if they looked just as pretty as the ones in the movies? If were not careful, we may not be able to see these aquatic forests ever again. Scientists and researchers have found that immense groups of reefs are being destroyed everyday by humanly actions. Such actions include over fishing, illegal fishing, scuba diving, and pollutants in the water. Even the recent discovered coral reefs are dying off just as fast as they are discovered. Thus, many reefs are becoming endangered every day and they can't heal as fast as some people think. .
Warm water coral reefs are usually found in tropical sunny areas like Hawaii, the Virgin Islands, and other warm regions. They are homes to many fish, crustacean, and other living creatures under the sea. Sadly, these beautiful forests of the sea are being destroyed everyday due to human nautical activities. Activities like over fishing, pollution of the water and natural causes like global warming. Fortunately, some areas have noticed that these ecosystems are vastly disappearing, and they are doing everything they can to slow down the death rate of the reefs. Like the Caribbean's for example, the decline rate of these reefs are almost at a halt. Despite the fact that many places try with all their might to prevent the extinction of these reefs, we all must do what ever we can to help also. Without ALL of our help, corals will die off and become extinct. .
Cold-water coral reefs are just the similar to warm water corals except for the fact that they are found in deep depths of the ocean where coral usually isn't found. Before, people believed that coral reefs only lived in warm water areas where the sun could get to them, but recent studies show that there are reefs below where the sun cannot penetrate through. You would think that these corals wouldn't get affected because of their location, but there are signs of them dying off too.
