            In discussing the rise of Fidel Castro you must understand how Cuba got in the shape it was in.
             At one time Spain occupied the nations of Puerto Rico, Cuba and the Philpines Island. Revolt broke out causing Spain to send troop to keep the lands. Also at this time America was grow in mind and power and was preparing for the future.
             Needing America help thing got rough in Cuba and America citizen were in danger. The ship the U.S.S Maine was sent to Cuba to save the citizen and protect the US intrest in Cuba.
             The disater happen and the U.S.S. Maine blow up making the the journalist of America make it more than what is was. Causing a war that was not ready to happen.
             The Spanish-America war was named the "Splendid Little War" because it was a short war that ended with with the US becoming a empire. Leaving Cuba to become a nation under no leadership.
             Cuba was a place where history seem to forget untill the rise of Cuba political leader, president and dicator Fidle Castro. He was on August 13, 1926 on a farm in Mayari municipality in the province of Oriente. His father own a plantation .
             and He attended two Jesuit institutions, the Colegio Lasalle and the Colegio Dolores, both in Santiago. In 1942 he entered the Colegio Belen, a Jesuit preparatory school in Havana, and graduated in 1945. He earn a doctorate of law from the University of Havana, 1950. .
             As an adult is life was a tramatic. He married Mirta Diaz-Balart in 1948 and later divorced her after barring a son. Castro planned to campaign for a parliamentary seat in the election of 1952, but General Fulgencio Batista overthrew the government of then-President Carlos .
             Prio Socarras in a coup d'etat, and canceled the election. When Castro protested that Batista had violated the constitution, the court rejected his claim. Castro launched an attack against the military at Moncada Barracks, Santiago de Cuba, on July 26, 1953, .
             but was arrested and imprisoned until 1955.
