             Faith, according to Hebrews 11:1, is being sure of what we hope for and what we do not see. (New International Version Teen Study Bible) In modern times, faith has been weakened in meaning so that some people use it to mean self-confidence. But in the Bible, true faith is confidence in God, not in one's self. If we put our faith in God and trust Him, he will always provide a way for us, according to His will. Here are some wonderful quotes about faith: "Faith makes things possible, not easy," "Prayer is taking our troubles to God, faith is leaving them there," "Sorrow looks back. Worry looks around. Faith looks up," and "Faith makes the uplook good; the outlook bright; the inlook favorable; the future glorious!" (Grace Upon Grace Christian Poetry) These quotes are all so wonderful and true! .
             Is it possible to please God with faith? Of course! Having faith promotes good works which pleases God. In fact, without faith, good works do not exist. No works is a sign of dead faith! If we do not have faith, we aren't pleasing God! Hebrews 11:6 says, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." (New International Version Teen Study Bible) Having faith also shows God our love and devotion to Him. It enables us to have a loving relationship with Him and allows us the .
             ability to serve and love others, which is our Christian responsibility. Having true faith also allows God to direct our paths that we may take in life. Faith can make good things happen. .
             We can increase our faith by hearing and reading the word of God and exercising the faith that we already have. We can also increase our faith by asking God to give us more. Prayer is another important factor in increasing our faith, and it also deepens our relationship with God. In Romans 1:17, the Bible tells us that the righteous shall live by faith.
