Nutrition And Activity

My diet consists of a huge caloric intake. Although I exercise a lot, I noticed that most of my calories come from carbohydrates. I want to lose weight, and I know I can't lose weight unless I cut back on my carbohydrates. I"m planning to go on the High Protein, Low Carbohydrate Diet. I never realized how many carbohydrates I was consuming. Also, this was the week where I ate couple of fast foods. This week was a really busy week, so I just went for some fast food without even really thinking about my diet. My personal profile says that I average about over 2,000 calories each day. I think that's a lot for me, especially when I"m trying to lose some pounds. .
The balance of food groups is not so great. I think I eat pretty healthy because I eat a lot of protein and get essential vitamins and minerals. I also take multi-vitamins and calcium tablets for my every day diet. I should cut back on the candy bars and the diet sodas that I consumed during this week. I know that I have gotten better at watching what I"m eating since I started taking this class. I haven't eaten fast food for a week, which is pretty amazing for me. I also haven't eaten any red meat for a while. On my pyramid, fats, oils, and sweets tops all of the food groups. That embarrasses me, but I really like eating sweets after a meal. That's my main habit. .
I think I get the right amount of vitamins and minerals from my meals. However, I like to keep my immune system strong, so I take Multi-Vitamins and calcium tablets. I also take Echinacea when I feel a little under the weather. I get sick really easily, and I believe that by taking these pills, helps my immune system. I forgot to put water in my diet analysis program in the computer, but I take about 10-15 glasses of water everyday. I drink a lot more than average because I work out a lot. I get thirsty and because I don't want to be dehydrated, I try to drink plenty of water.
