             Communication is the lifeline for society. There are many barriers that are found to be out of the reach of others and the feeling of helplessness overpowers those who are unable to communicate effectively. We will look at these communication barriers and see how society can overcome the inability to communicate with other cultures. .

             Communication barriers are not just impacting one part of society any longer. The cultural barriers that society faces today are more complex than they have been in the past. Proper communication revolves around all aspects of life and not being able to communicate effectively can put great strain on society as a whole. Changes bring communication differences to a minimum but there are still areas where change is greatly needed.
             Culture.
             The totality of socially transmitted behavior patterns, arts, beliefs, institutions, and all other products of human work and thought. These patterns, traits, and products considered as the expression of a particular period, class, community, or population: Edwardian culture; Japanese culture; the culture of poverty. These patterns, traits, and products considered with respect to a particular category, such as a field, subject, or mode of expression: religious culture in the Middle Ages; musical culture; oral culture. .
             The communication styles in today's world are so vast in difference it sets barriers in communication, and the impacts are so complex; it makes communicating; a stressful task in all cultures. The different styles of communication in cultures are so various it creates a barrier in most cultures that has effects on decisions and creates great conflict that can result in miscommunication and in some cases; even war.
             When it comes to the meanings applied to typical gestures, there is quite a bit of variance among cultures .One notable example of these variances can be seen in the different interpretations in head shaking (which western society takes for "no") and head nodding (which western society takes for "yes") .
