             Intensity of Rivalry Among Competitors.
             After WWE bought out WCW and ECW (the biggest rival wrestling federations), the intensity of competition has been mainly directed at TNA, which has a modest growth rate. But since WWE has a 90%-plus industry stranglehold, TNA does not have the capital to compete. For instance, WWE has a huge intricate farm system along professional writers that hand picks and develops wrestlers into characters. TNA on the other hand consists mainly of "leftover wrestlers from WWE-. .
             Competitor Analysis (TNA) .
             Due to industry consolidation where the WWE purchased WCW (World Championship Wrestling) and ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) the WWE has one main competitor TNA (Total Non-Stop Action). TNA is the largest branch of the NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) which is the oldest wrestling governing body in the country, dating back to 1896. The NWA is a group of loosely tied regional wrestling federations. Each of these federations puts on tours of live shows within their own territory of states. TNA is the only one of these federations that could even be considered a viable competitor to the WWE at this point in time. .
             TNA is using the Integrated Cost Leadership/Differentiation Business Level Strategy in its attempts to compete with the WWE. .
             Innovative concepts TNA is using to differentiate its product from the WWE include:.
            
             • original story lines.

             • use of creative weapons foreign objects.
            
             • quality up and coming young stars Jerry Lynn, New Jack, and Kid Kash.
            
             • a smaller ring area which leads to more toe-to-toe action.
            
             • TNA produces one pay-per-view event a week, on Wednesdays, for a price of $9.95. .
             This is 74% less than WWE's suggested retail price of $34.95 for each pay per view event. .
             Besides the WWE, TNA is the only federation who has national television exposure; however, it is somewhat limited.
