Log Entry #2 Date 7/20/4010.
After arriving and settling in, we've finally been able to get things in motion. We are currently camped at position 21 Alpha, which was closed off about 200 years ago by the new republic. All restrictions have been lifted since our arrival considering the new republic, and the colonies of the west, are both considerably interested in our finds. The mutuality of agreement of both sides have helped fund and care for this expedition. 21 Alpha, according to records, was home to a large city. A city that went by the name of New York, and housed a population of about 9 million. Much of this city and its origin's are unknown. What is known however, was that is was the center of a fundamental ideal to old worlds concept of civilization. It was too, from what we know, one of the first cities to be obliterated following the great war. All that's left now are mounds of dust, and great chasms to which heavy rocks now reside. Where to start and what to look for? These are questions that were raised this morning at our post-breakfast meeting. Our decisions on how to start will become official tonight however.
