Jeffery Dahmer

The city of Milwaukee was shocked and appalled when they heard that mutilated bodies, heads, and severed hands were being pulled from the apartment of a shy man named Jeffery Dahmer. When you hear this disturbing fact, you may ask yourself, who is Jeffery Dahmer? Jeffery Dahmer is in fact, one of the most horrific killers of the last century, as well as the most brutal murderer Milwaukee and Wisconsin had ever seen. After being discovered, all of the facts came together, and over the past several years, the events of Jeffery Dahmers childhood, victims, trial, prison time and death unfolded.
On May 21, 1960 a small boy was born to a young couple named Joyce and Lionel Dahmer, they were happy with their son, but even early on, they knew that their son was very different from other children (Dahmer 31). Lionel, Jeffery Dahmers father writes about Jeffrey's childhood in his book, A Fathers Story, he says that Jeffery seemed like a normal little boy for awhile, but even early on, some people had doubts about him. Jeffery showed an early interest in bones, dead animals and other morbid pastimes, such as he collected rodent bones and played with them. He also said that as Jeffrey's childhood progressed, he grew darker and more reclusive, things that he used to love such as playing in the school band were thrown to the side, and his childhood friends were abandoned as he grew into his own world. Jeffery was also sexually abused at the age of eight by a neighborhood boy and the incident left him traumatized.
As Jeffery grew into a teenager, his behavior became even more disturbed. His father, who writes about his early teen years said, "for one thing, his posture and the general way n which he carried himself changed radically during the years between his tenth and fifteenth year. He grew increasingly shy during this time as well, and when approached by other people, he would become very tense.
