This is not what Christians believe. In John 1:14, it is said that Jesus Christ is the eternal Word of God, the second Person of the Trinity, and he took on a human nature at His birth in Bethlehem. Since then, He exists eternally as one person with both divine and human natures (Bechtle). It is also said in that same passage that Jesus was the only begotten son of the Father God. The scripture directly refutes the Mormon principles that Jesus does not have eternal divine characteristics and that Jesus is not the begotten son of God. .
