Since so many scientist don't believe in God, they are trying to become one. It is now the twenty-first century and scientist have come along way. They have made an enormous leaps and bounds in scientific fields. Scientist has improved the biotechnology of cloning genetic manipulation, and selecting embryos.
Cloning is an issue that has been argued for years. I think that cloning has its pros and cons. I am in favor on cloning plants; however, I am against on cloning animals and humans. Cloning plants is good because we could win the fight against global hunger, but the bad news is that we don't know if cloned food could damage our health. There is a dispute between Europe and President Bush because "President Bush criticized European governments for boycotting genetically modified foods, saying their actions were impeding attempts to ease famine in Africa" (Zitner A.19). I think that Europe should approve clone food because it will benefit a lot of people who are starving. Moreover, another controversy is animal's cloning. I am against on cloning animals because I think that it is cruel to clone animals especially if scientist just wants to make experiments on them; as an example, "at the University of Texas and at the University of Bath. During the past four years, one group created headless mice; the other headless tadpoles" (Krauthammer 76). I think that what this group did of creating headless mice and tadpoles is very repugnant to all humans. "Texas Researches want to learn how genes determine embryo development"; therefore, "Researches found the gene that tells the embryo to produce the head. They deleted it. They did this in a thousand mice embryos, four of which were born. I use the term loosely. Having no way to breath, the mice died instantly" (Krauthammer 76). I think that is an atrocity to clone a headless animal that won't last for two seconds at the time they are born only because researches want to know how genes determine embryo developments.
