            United states has many power retailers like Sears, Macys, A&P, K-Mart, and Wal-Mart etc. one might think that each of these huge retailers have a big competition between each other. That is where they go wrong. Out of everyone, Wal-Mart dominates over everybody. Who has not heard about Wal-Mart? It is the largest single revenue generator in the world. Wal-Mart is considered a super power like the United States in 2003. The question is why is Wal-Mart the most powerful retailer? How did it become the most powerful retailer and was able to beat the best in business?.
             Why is Wal-Mart the most powerful retailer? Everyone has heard about Wal-Mart. However, what they do not know about Wal-Mart is that it has about $240 billion plus in sales and has 1.3 million "associates". Wal-Mart's sale on one day last fall was $1.42 billion. This was larger than the GDPs of 36 countries. What people also don't know is that Wal-Mart is the biggest employer in 21 states, with more people in uniform than the US army. Something else people do not know is that Wal-Mart is the largest single revenue generator for Hollywood, Procter & Gamble's, Kraft's, Revlon's, Gillette's, Campbell Soup's, RJR's and on down the list of America's famous branded manufacturers. It is the nation's biggest seller of Dvds, Groceries, Toys, Guns, Diamonds, Cds, Apparel, Dogfood, Detergent, Jewelry, Sporting Goods, VideoGames, Socks, Bedding, and Toothpaste. Not to forget that its biggest film developer, optician, private truck-fleet operator, energy consumer and real estate developer. This should satisfy almost everyone that why Wal-Mart is the most powerful retailer. It replaced Exxon Mobil and moved on the top of the fortune 500 and was most admired company, making the first time world's biggest corporation. .
             This leads to our next question, how did it become so powerful and was able to beat everyone who stood up against them? Wal-Mart has created a completely new definition of business.
