Starting college is very hard when you are a freshman. You have no idea what to do; you ask yourself where do I start. Well today I am going to go over a few things to help. Maybe I can make your first year a little easier. .
One of the most important things that you need to do is go to class. Attending class can make a big difference in the grade you get. Make a habit of getting up and getting there. When you are in class everyday, you are more likely to get a better grade. The reason for this is you know what is going on, what u material you need to go over. You also you feel better when you are there learning everyday. I know that I feel better knowing I was there and, I am up to date on everything. So make sure that you are there everyday on time.
You hear a group of people talking about a party. As you think you might go, you have a ton of homework. What are you going to do? Well welcome to college, time management is very hard for some people. You know that u have homework but hanging out with friends or going to a party sounds more fun. Getting behind in your homework is not a good idea. If you know that you have homework, but you really want to go hang out. Make sure that you get your homework finished. Some things that could help are; get an assignment notebook or make a list of things to do. I am not saying miss out on social events or having fun. College is about meeting new people and having fun. Just make sure you manage your time well.
When you start college you are instantly introduced to a very large variety of new people. Yes, you are going to probably know people you graduated with. It is good to friends from high school but, college is again about meeting people. If there is anything I have learned is that meeting new people is a blast. So ideas to meet new people , try to form a study group with some people form you classes. Just talk to some people your classes or go to social events.
